As the teacher I would like to be able to manually edit my students profiles. For example, when I move the grade slider it is set as a range and I want to state the specific grade my students are in. The students are not allowed to select their own grade and if I change the grade it stays on grade 3.2 votesAdminAdam Bellow (Founder, eduClipper) responded
When you create a class you can actually move the slider so that both circles are on one grade which would put them in 3rd grade specifically.
Are you talking about students moving to the next grade? We are working on code that will automatically increase a student’s grade in their profile each July.
Happy to hear your thoughts or to clarify further if I missed the point.
I need to be able to reset my students' passwords. Out students are only allowed to send/receive email from outside the district so the "reset my password" will not work.1 vote
Yup – we will add this to the student’s profile as you the teacher would see it. It would say “reset password” for you the teacher and initiate the change without having to rely on a student email.
Great Point. I have added that as a new feature for the next week or so and in the meantime if you need help resetting any student passwords, I would be happy to do that manually for you.
Will students be able to retain their accounts from year to year and switch from a teacher to teacher? What happens if a teacher just deletes a class/student(s)?3 votes
produce a step by step/quick start/demo video, or tutorial. I am comp savvy but wasted time not knowing what was going on - still dont know?
produce a step by step quick start/demo video, or tutorial. I am reasonably comp savvy but wasted time not knowing what was going on - after clicking bookmarklet, re-clip or trying the + sign - still don't know? Go back to home and whatever I tried to educlip was nowhere to be seen!?33 votes
Agree with you here for sure! We are working on creating some tutorials that you can run through on first load – but there are currently some helpful videos available here —→ https://educlipper.net/#boards/board/5185801cd9990b63f1000001
Looking into – thanks for the suggestion
The browser clipper doesn't work well. It is extremely slow. I have yet to be able to use it. The add content button within educlipper works, but doesn't allow for selection of the best pic and it is difficult to arrange clips. Not as easy as Pinterest! I feel like this is wasting my time because it takes so long to accomplish the same objective.49 votes
We just relaunched the bookmarklet tool – check it out and hopefully you’ll see it works a lot better than before! Always looking on ways to make it even better!
Make it easy to share YouTube videos. I pasted in a YouTube URL and expected the video to be embedded in my clip. Only saw the URL, no image9 votes
Make it possible to import pictures and/or folders from Pinterest6 votes
We’re looking into this now… ;)
You have to scroll around to see the name of your clipboard. Put it at the top above the word Edu-Clipboard, etc.3 votes
I'm confused. Can I set up a class that will only see the specific clips I select for them? Or does it show them all my clips?4 votesAdminAdam Bellow (Founder, eduClipper) responded
We are adding a bunch of new class functionality and it will be in place at the end of next week along with documentation and a video tutorial.
You can share sets of clips with students or mark your clips as private (the lock icon when you create or edit a clip) which will hide it from other people on the site.
Anything you create that is not private can by any site member.
